K. Hovnanian Homes recently hosted a “topping-out” ceremony to celebrate the construction of the final floor at Nine on the Hudson, a new 13-story building offering 278 for-sale condominiums in West New York.
Construction on the new building, which is part of the Port Imperial redevelopment project, began in November 2015.
The new building overlooks the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline. It is the latest and one of the most ambitious of the Port Imperial redevelopment projects, the Hovnanian firm said in a press release. Port Imperial is being developed along the Hudson River waterfront, between Edgewater and Weehawken.
Residents at Nine on the Hudson will be able to take advantage of savings created by a 20-year tax abatement program, with the initial 10-year period fixed with increases over the second 10-year period. This means that residents will pay only 1.1 percent for the first 10 years, Hovnanian said in the release.
